Cliff Lee pitching after 8 days rest
Cliff Lee for the Texas Rangers is going to pitch the first game of the World Series against the Giants after an 8 days rest. The last game he pitched was against the Yankees, 8 days back. Is this a good decision for the Rangers to make whenever he hasnt been in a game-like situation in 8 days? This is a world series game and it definitiely counts for everything. Cliff Lee says, "I was preparing to potentially pitch [Game 7 on Saturday], so I had been on my routine like that, and now obviously I'm pitching the first game," Lee said Sunday. "So, I'm just going to make the adjustment and push it back a couple of days. But, yeah, it's not that big of a deal." The pitcher seems confident in the coaches' decision. I believe that if the player feels confident and if the player has been practicing his normal routines, the team will be ok. I guess the fans and I will see how it goes, Game 1 of the World Series when the Rangers take on the Giants.
